What We Collect
AI-Buzz collects minimal data to operate the site and improve your experience:
- Newsletter email addresses - when you voluntarily subscribe to research brief email alerts.
- Analytics data - page views, referral sources, search queries, and masked behavioral analytics via Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity. This data is used to understand how research and signal pages are used and is not tied to personal identities in our systems.
- Standard web logs - IP addresses, browser type, and timestamps, as automatically recorded by our hosting provider (Google Cloud Run).
How We Use Your Data
- Newsletter emails are used solely to send AI-Buzz research updates and Research Briefs.
- Analytics data helps us understand which pages and features are most useful.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and Tracking
AI-Buzz uses Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage, page flow, and UX friction. Clarity session recordings and heatmaps are used for internal product research, and sensitive inputs are masked by default. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Data Sources
Company data displayed on AI-Buzz is aggregated from public sources including npm, PyPI, GitHub, and Hacker News. This data is factual and publicly available. For details on our data collection methodology, see our Methodology page.
Your Rights
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in each email.
- You can request deletion of your email address by contacting us.
- You can opt out of analytics tracking using browser settings or extensions.
Data Retention
Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (14 months). Web server logs are retained by Google Cloud Run according to their data retention policy.
