Coverage and curation
AI-Buzz is curated, not comprehensive. This page explains what qualifies a company for tracking and how coverage differs from the supporting DAI leaderboard.

Package Footprint
Published npm or PyPI packages with measurable activity are the clearest path into coverage.
Open-Source Presence
Public GitHub repos, contributor activity, or other trackable developer signals can justify inclusion.
Operational Relevance
Hiring demand, pricing movement, or comparable operating signals can matter when they help explain a market shift.
Manual Review
Coverage is curated. Companies are added because they matter to current signal coverage, not because we can scrape them.
Add
New companies are added when they satisfy the coverage threshold and fit the tracked AI market scope.
Reclassify
Category or status changes are applied when a company pivots, is acquired, or no longer fits the tracked lane.
Preserve History
Low traction alone is not a removal reason. Historical signals are more valuable than a constantly rewritten leaderboard.
Coverage criteria explain why a company appears on AI-Buzz. The actual signals still live on the Research Brief, the company page, and the methodology that qualifies them.
